If that doesn't make any sense to you - it makes no sense to me either. You'll have to ask Will, given that he's smarter than the both of us... or at least me. Maybe if he explains it to you - you'll understand and can come back and try and explain it to me.Dervish Sandershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13671865801885224353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21976234.post-3684275421365462762014-05-08T05:47:21.370-05:002014-05-08T05:47:21.370-05:00Maybe we should bring back Slavery, at least we kn...Maybe we should bring back Slavery, at least we knew where the blacks were late at night then. Does that make "a hell of a lot more sense"? Not to me it doesn't. Apparently it does to history rewriting enthusiasts like Will though.

Seems to me that a political ploy would be to say they were leaving the union for State's Rights reasons. The tariff thing simply does not hold up, as if they didn't leave the Union they had enough votes to squash that (the tariff increase on exported cotton).Dervish Sandershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13671865801885224353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21976234.post-36035589170951444142014-05-07T12:58:42.018-05:002014-05-07T12:58:42.018-05:00All you have to do is read the actual documents th...All you have to do is read the actual documents that the states wrote giving their reasons for secession to see that it was all about slavery.
